Partner with TEAM Sugi to Recruit Japanese Students
TEAM Sugi LLC is a Japan-based education agency helping Japanese students find suitable U.S. college pathways, including community colleges, four-year universities, transfer programs, ESL-supported routes, and college athletic opportunities.
We are looking to build meaningful partnerships with U.S. colleges and universities that are interested in welcoming more Japanese students through a transparent, student-centered, commission-based recruitment model.
Why U.S. Colleges Work with TEAM Sugi
A student-centered recruitment partner in Japan
TEAM Sugi supports Japanese students and families who are considering U.S. higher education but may not yet know which pathway is realistic for them. We help students compare options such as community colleges, four-year universities, ESL programs, transfer routes, scholarship opportunities, and athletic pathways.
Our goal is not simply to send students to any institution. We focus on recommending schools that match each student’s academic background, English level, financial plan, housing needs, personality, and long-term goals.
This approach helps partner institutions connect with students who have received realistic guidance before applying and who better understand the expectations of studying in the United States.
Transparent commission-based student recruitment
For our standard support, TEAM Sugi does not charge students a support fee. Instead, our business model is primarily supported by referral fees or commissions from partner institutions when we introduce students who enroll.
This allows many Japanese students to receive basic study abroad guidance without paying an additional agency support fee, while giving U.S. colleges access to a trusted Japanese-language recruitment partner.
We believe this model should be clear to both students and partner institutions. Transparency is important to us.

Our Fee and Commission Policy
Standard support is provided with no agency support fee
TEAM Sugi’s standard support is designed so that students can receive basic guidance for school selection, application flow, housing procedures, visa preparation, and pre-departure planning without paying an agency support fee to TEAM Sugi.
Students are still responsible for direct costs such as tuition, application fees, housing, insurance, SEVIS fees, visa-related fees, travel expenses, and other expenses charged by schools or third parties.
We work through referral fee or commission agreements
Because we do not charge students a support fee for our standard support, TEAM Sugi is primarily compensated through referral fees or commissions from partner institutions when a referred student enrolls and meets the agreed conditions.
We are open to discussing your institution’s standard agency agreement, commission policy, payment timing, and reporting process. Our goal is to create a clear and professional partnership that works for both the institution and the students we support.

We explain costs, admission requirements, English expectations, housing options, transfer pathways, and possible challenges as clearly as possible. We also believe that our commission-based business model should be communicated clearly to institutional partners.
We are interested in long-term partnerships with institutions that value student success, ethical recruitment, and clear communication.
